THEME LETTER

Esteemed Participants, Dear Delegates, Distinguished Student Officers, Honorable Advisors,

It is my utmost pleasure to welcome you all to the sixth session TEDMUN as the President of the General Assembly. With no doubt I can certainly state that each and every single detail of this conference has been calibrated with passion and hard work of our organization, academic and executive teams for the satisfaction and pleasure of every participant. Being sure that this conference will be the best experience of your MUN life, I can promise that TEDMUN’20 will not only change our participants’ thoughts about diplomacy and politics but also it will enlighten their point of view about many different aspects in life. The progress of humankind has been made possible by humans of all cultures, of all geographies ,and of all kinds of different socio-ecoonomic backgrounds. It has been made possible by the procession of generations and by the interactions and collaborations of the people from very different perspectives. In 2020, the beginning of a new decade, the needs of human beings continue to increase at an accelerated pace. It is one of the most transformative times for humanity: a time when our human potential has completely changed and improved by our physical and digital connections. Due to the new era in which technology leads the world, the maps of our world are no longer limited by the territorial and political borders. Now, we are more connected as we have never been before. But at the same time, we have never been this much apart from each other. Not only from ourselves, but from our own world that we live in. Thus, we have to collaborate and cooperate with each other.  There is unlimited potential to have many contributions from everyone all around the world. As John Lennon said, “A dream you dream alone is only a dream. A dream you dream together is reality.” So, let’s dream together, let’s think together, let’s act together, let’s unite and build to create a world where we can all live together. I am looking forward to seeing you all at TEDMUN’20 which will be held between June 4th and 7th  June in Ankara with the aim of  “connecting minds, uniting people”.

Sincerely, Dila TOSUN President of the General Assembly
