WELCOME LETTER

WELCOME LETTER

Dear participants and esteemed advisors,

I am delighted to be welcoming you to the 6th annual session of TED Ankara Model United Nations as the Secretary General. Having worked hard as a team to ensure the utmost quality for delegates and students alike, the entirety of our executive, academic and organization teams have spent a great amount of time and effort in order to create an unforgettable experience. With this year’s theme having been chosen as “Connecting Minds, Uniting People,” the TEDMUN family aims to create a welcoming and enriching environment for in which fruitful discussions can take place and all delegates are able to thrive. There are 9 committees, 5 of which are special and 4 of which are General Assembly committees to ensure diversity in experiences. Our issues are especially focused on the changes that are currently occurring in the world and have a special emphasis on collaboration, thus encouraging delegates to learn to tackle with contemporary problems through a modern, diplomatic perspective. In course of 4 days, delegates will have the opportunity to investigate crises, re-explore the transformative nature of historical events and evaluate solutions to issues that will shape the future. I am looking forward to seeing you at TEDMUN20.

Sincerely,

Ata GÖLOĞLU
Secretary General of TEDMUN20
